About Modellè Academy

Modellè Academy is a modelling school in Sydney, Australia. It was founded in March 2021 by George Bastoli, founder and CEO of the Sydney modelling agency Royalle Modelling, to close the skill gap that was stopping talented Australian models from winning work with international brands.

What students learn

The Modelling Essentials course covers model etiquette, digital etiquette and portfolio must-haves, how agencies and casting networks work, jobs and pay in the Australian modelling industry, model types, responding to client briefs, invoicing and tax obligations, mindset and preparation, editorial modelling, photoshoots and runway. Graduates receive a Modellè Academy Modelling Essentials certificate and a professional studio photoshoot.

Trainers

  • George Bastoli: founder and CEO of Royalle Modelling and Head of Training at Modellè Academy. George has scouted, trained and placed models in campaigns for brands including Jimmy Choo, YSL, LVMH, Nivea, Reebok, Canon and Sony.

  • Georgia Mae West: Careers Advisor. Georgia has modelled in the UK and Australia, including at Australian Fashion Week, and now also works in model management.

  • Asal Abdi: Runway Trainer and Modellè graduate. Asal is represented by Royalle Modelling, walked for international designers at Paris Fashion Week 2025 and has been published in FHM.
